Pike County Health Department services are provided to all citizens regardless of age, race, color, religion, national origin, sex, ancestry, martial status, disability, unfavorable discharge from military service or financial status. These services are provided based on agency policies and procedures following county, state, and federal guidelines.

Pike County Health Department is committed to the philosophy that each individual human being has the basic right to expect and secure prevention information and public health and home health services that are necessary to promote and sustain their optimal physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being.

Based on this philosophy, the Pike County Health Department acknowledges its responsibility to promote health and wellness and progressive and effective environmental management programs to prevent disease and its complications.

Inherent with this responsibility is the necessity to recruit and retain professional, therapeutic, and clinically competent staff.
